Crypto Faucets: Free cryptocurrency for clicking buttons every so often.

Today we’re going to talk about faucets. They use the term faucet because it just drips small amounts of cryptocurrency but they are free! The way it works is when you go to one of these sites the owner is getting paid for ad revenue while you click on the button and do the captcha then they’ll send a small amount of crypto to your wallet.

What is Cryptocurrency?

Per Wikipedia – A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography and is difficult to counterfeit because of this security feature. There are many different kinds and many have other purposes other than just being a currency. All of them have a value attached to them that can vary and fluctuate greatly. When I first began to play around with Bitcoin it was worth $265 a coin in 2015, now it is currently worth $9,600 as of right now.

What do I do?

It’s super easy which is why it doesn’t pay out very well. Go to http://coinpot.co/ and register for a wallet. All of the crypto you claim from the sites (the ones I recommend) will go here. You also get Coinpot tokens each time you claim so you can bet on their website or convert them to which ever currency you like the best. When you get a certain amount you can transfer it out of that wallet and to a more secure personal wallet. I like Coinbase for buying and selling cryptocurrency so you could set up an account there and send your coinpot earnings there and sell them on their site for cash that can be sent to your bank account. Another method is to send it to Blockfi so it will gain interest. Blockfi‘s rates change but at the time of writing this they pay 6% APY for BTC! They also pay a percentage for LTC, ETH, USDC, and a few others but we’re not going to worry about them.

Now that you have your Coinpot wallet setup its time to go the faucet sites and sign up and start claiming that sweet free crypto. While you can use any browser to go to these sites, I recommend using the Brave Browser. On many of these sites you can leave the ad block activated and still be able to claim without having to see a million ads and popups. If the site won’t let you claim then you’ll have to turn off the ad block. I’ve listed all of the coinpot faucets below.

I should also mention Freebitcoin. While it isn’t a coinpot faucet it is another source of BTC. When you get to 30,000 satoshi or 0.0003 Bitcoin you’ll begin earning 4.2% interest. You can also gamble on their site which can be dangerous but also very profitable. I’ve earned 0.17 Bitcoin gambling which is worth almost $2000.

You’ll sign into each site with the same email address you used at coinpot.
After you sign in, your page will look like this.

All you do now is click claim and most of the times you’ll have to do a captcha where you click on cars or crosswalks to prove that you’re a human. At that point it’ll refresh and your balance will increase. Most of the sites have offers to where you can earn even more crypto by doing surveys, watching videos, etc. I don’t usually mess with the offers as the payouts are usually better on Swagbucks. What I typically do is leave all of the pages open and go through a few times a day and claim. Claiming at least daily on several of these sites will give you bonuses! The moon sites will pay you loyalty bonuses up to 100% so all you have to do is log in 100 days straight to get there and it will stay there as long as you continue to log in. Bonusbitcoin is different, the more you claim in a 3 day period the more your bonus is. They pay 5% of what you earn from them so you can claim up to every 15 minutes with them.

Now what do I do?

I mentioned this before earlier about either selling on Coinbase or using Blockfi to gain interest. The method that I use is I convert all of the coins in my Coinpot wallet into Bitcoin once a month and I transfer them to Blockfi to gain 6% interest. You don’t hold your keys there so you do take a risk of the site shutting down and losing all your hard work but it is backed by some pretty reputable sources.

I started my account there back in March I believe and you can see above how much interest has been paid out. The accrued interest is just for the month! My savings account only gain 2 cent and it twice as much money in it! I should also mention that they usually run offers like deposit $100 of crypto get $10 free bitcoin. You have to do that in your first deposit, also make sure you factor in the fees for sending the bitcoin. Coinbase will also pay you $10 to buy $100 worth of crypto so that’s $20 free right there! I’ll have another post about these two companies in the coming days as well.
