Should you take your money out?
That’s up to you in the long run but I like Varo a lot after using it. It has a really nice interface, it’s easy to use and this is the best part, 1.21% APY! If you want to use Varo as your primary account you can get 2.8% APY by doing the following.
- Make at least five Varo Visa® Debit Card purchases in each calendar month,
- Receive total direct deposits of $1,000 or more in the same calendar month, AND
- Keep a daily Savings Account balance up to $10,000. You read that right. We have a $10,000 daily maximum to earn our higher APY, but no minimum balance requirement.
I’m not ready to make Varo my main bank account… yet… but I may get around to it. The only thing that would be hard for me is to do the 5 purchases a month as I like to use my Amazon Chase card that gives me up to 5% back in points to use on Amazon.com. I am still tempted because I recently won their sweepstakes that they had running on their Instagram page and got $200 deposited to my account!
Who do you bank with? Are they earning your business?
Thanks for the great advise!
