I recently got the Samsung Sofi account started through Samsung Pay. It was pretty easy to setup and it has your typical stuff you have to go through to setup an account. The reason I started the account was so I could turn my Samsung Points into cash! You must have a minimum of 1000 points and that will give you $5 that if you like you can immediately spend or send to another bank account. You could also let your money sit in your account and currently they are paying 0.25% APY with no minimums.

After I opened the account I realized that I could open a Sofi Invest account as well and invest in stocks and cryptocurrency. I already have a Robinhood account that I use for investing for the most part (I’ll have a blog post about it eventually) but the reason I signed up was to get $25 worth of Bitcoin for basically FREE! All you have to do is deposit $10 into your account which should take about 3 days then buy any cryptocurrency they have available and you’ll have $25 of Bitcoin added to your account! It happened for me within a matter of hours. You can then sell whenever you like and the money will be added back to the Sofi invest account, which in turn you can send to your Samsung Pay account to gain interest.

Sofi has all of the stocks and etfs you could want from a normal brokerage but it’s pretty basic from what I have read. I didn’t really take much time to test it out but they do have an auto-invest feature. If you check it out let me know how it works out for you! I also didn’t want to invest the $1000 to get the $50 bonus as I don’t currently have that kind of money sitting around since I have twins on the way but feel free to give it a shot if you have deep pockets!
